The 9th International Conference on the Evolution of Language (Evolang IX) will be held in the historical city of Kyoto, Japan, from the 13th to 16th of March 2012.

Participants from China, Russia, NIS countries or the Philippines will need to apply for a visa to enter Japan. Applications should be made through the Japanese embassy or consulate serving your home country. However, you will likely be requested to supply certain documents with your application that we will have to prepare for you. We will return (1) a letter outlining the reason for invitation, (2) a formal itinerary of the stay, and (3) a letter of guarantee. Please note, as visa applications can take a significant amount of time to be processed, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
